Netherlandsworldwide.nl is the government portal for people abroad who have dealings with the Dutch government, with information about services you may need if you live, work, study or travel abroad. Or if you are a non-Dutch national who wishes to live, study or work in the Netherlands. Visa applications, Dutch civic integration exams and legalisations of Taiwanese documents for use in The Netherlands are handled at the Netherlands Office Taipei on appointment. It also offers services for residents and citizens of the Netherlands on appointment, and serves as a point of contact in case of emergencies. Please register on the Informatieservice to be kept informed of the (security) situation abroad (only available in Dutch).

  • A maximum of 100 applicants from Taiwan can participate in the WHP per year. To apply, choose application category “Working Holiday Program (WHP)” in the appointment system. Every month limited WHP timeslots are released. If you see the message “No date(s) available for appointment,” this means that all time slots are taken. You can try to schedule an appointment in the following month or the following section.
  • Every year from the 1st of April, WHP appointment timeslots will be released for registration. The registration process will be divided into 3 sections:

    • The first section will run from 1st April to 31st October.
    • The second section will run from 1st November to the end of February.
    • The third section will release any remaining vacancies on 1st March.

    Appointment system of the WHP timeslots will start to be released for registation at 14:30 of the first day of each section.
    In the event of a holiday, the registration process will be postponed and resumed on our office first working day of the first month of each section.
    This process will repeat until the maximum quota of 100 is reached.

Privacy

The Netherlands Office Taipei (NLOT) handles your personal data with the utmost care. Personal data is information that can be traced to an individual, such as names, postal addresses and email addresses. Personal data is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Why NLOT processes personal data

The Netherlands Office Taipei’s website collects your IP address to be able to analyse user data. We do not ask for any other personal data.

Data sharing

If we collect and use your personal data, it is usually because you have contacted us via email. And you have provided information about yourself. Your request may require NLOT to share information, including your personal data, with other organisations. It does so on the basis of the principles set out in the GDPR. For instance, NLOT may need to share information with other government agencies for the purposes of consular processes.

In principle, the Netherlands Office in Taipei will inform you if it intends to process your data.

The Netherlands Office Taipei will ensure that your personal data is appropriately protected.

Retention period for personal data

The Netherlands Office Taipei will retain your personal data no longer than is necessary for the purpose concerned or is required under the Public Records Act.

  • If you want to have your personal data rectified;
  • If you want to have personal data erased;
  • If you want to restrict the processing of your personal data;
