Dear friends in Taiwan, My name is Bas Pulles~

Dear friends in Taiwan, My name is Bas Pulles~

“Dear friends in Taiwan,

My name is Bas Pulles, and I am truly honored to begin my journey as the Representative of the Netherlands Office Taipei. This is not my first time visiting this beautiful island, and every return has reminded me of Taiwan’s warmth, energy, and openness. Stepping into this role now gives me the special privilege of not only experiencing Taiwan once again, but also contributing directly to the friendship and partnership that have long developed between the Netherlands and Taiwan.

I look forward with enthusiasm to advancing our shaped path of cooperation and mutual understanding during these times. Together, we will keep strengthening cooperation in areas that have long been at the heart of our relationship: sustainable trade, bilateral investment, circular economy, semiconductors industry, offshore wind energy, agriculture, photonics, and cyber security --- fields where we can grow and learn from one another.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me hiking, cycling or enjoying the incredible food – and Taiwan truly feels like the perfect place to enjoy all!

I look forward to meeting many of you along the way – whether at meetings, events, or maybe even out on a bike path!”

With regards,

Bas Pulles

Mr. Bas Pulles
